Welcome to Schedule A Ride's platform policies. These policies govern our booking platform services that connect customers with independent drivers for professional transportation. IMPORTANT: Schedule A Ride is a booking platform and payment processor. All transportation services are provided by independent drivers who work with our platform.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: BOOKING PLATFORM SERVICES

Schedule A Ride operates as a booking platform and payment processor. We connect customers with independent drivers for transportation services. We do not own vehicles or employ drivers directly. All transportation is provided by independent drivers who work with our platform. Schedule A Ride is responsible for:

•Booking coordination and customer service

•Payment processing and pricing

•Quality standards and driver network management

•Customer support and service guarantees

Driver Cancellation Policy: If a driver cancels, it is Schedule A Ride's responsibility to reschedule and provide assistance to customers, including arranging alternative transportation when necessary.


Booking and Cancellation Policies


Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Cancellation Timeline:

•48+ hours advance notice: Full refund of any pre-payment (except van reservations)

•Less than 24 hours notice: $35 fee or 20% of full fare, whichever is higher

Rescheduling Policy:

•48+ hours advance notice: Free rescheduling subject to driver availability

•Less than 24 hours notice: 20% fee of full fare, subject to availability

Van Reservations: Van reservations have different cancellation terms due to specialized vehicle requirements. Specific terms will be provided during booking.


Third-Party Service Arrangements:

•To ensure availability and fulfill last-minute requests, Schedule A Ride may arrange services through third-party providers (Uber, taxi companies, etc.)

•Full fare payment in advance is required to cover these arrangements

•Customers should acknowledge that we may use third-party services to ensure reliable transportationPlatform-Initiated 

Cancellations:

•If we are unable to provide transportation for any reason, you will receive a 100% refund

•We will make every effort to arrange alternative transportation

Driver-Initiated Cancellations:

•Driver cancellations are managed entirely by Schedule A Ride

•We will provide alternative arrangements or full refunds

•Customers will not be responsible for driver cancellation issues


Contact Information for Cancellations

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us using one of the options listed in your confirmation email, or provide the following:

•The full name used for the reservation

•The email address for the reservation

•Telephone number used for the reservation

•Your itinerary and its date

•The reason for cancellation (optional, but helps us improve)


Pricing and Payment Policies


Transparent Pricing

Final Pricing: Prices listed on our website are final, including all taxes and fees. There are no hidden charges or additional platform fees.


Payment Structure: Customers pay Schedule A Ride directly for all transportation services. We handle all payment processing and driver compensation.


Additional Charges: The only additional fees that may occur are for changes to reservations after the trip has started. These must be negotiated directly with the driver and paid separately to the driver.


Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards, Zelle, and cash. Payment processing is handled securely by third-party providers including GoDaddy and Square.International Customers: Payment must be in US Dollars unless otherwise arranged. International banking fees and currency conversion fees are the customer's responsibility.


Service and Communication Policies


Communication and Coordination

Driver Communication:

•Drivers will contact you via SMS and/or phone call when they are 10 minutes away or upon arrival

•Direct communication between customers and drivers is encouraged for coordination

•Schedule A Ride customer service is available for any issues or concerns


No-Show Policy

Driver Arrival Process:

•Drivers will send a message when they are 10 minutes away and again upon arrival

•If there is no response, the driver will wait 5 minutes after arrival and then attempt to call

•A second call attempt will be made if there is no response after 10 minutes of arrival

•After 15 minutes without response, the reservation will be considered a no-show

•No-show reservations are subject to our cancellation policy (100% fee)


Waiting Time and Delay Policy

Standard Waiting Time:

•Drivers will notify you when they are 10 minutes away and upon arrival

•If you respond, the driver will wait up to 15 minutes after the scheduled time without additional charges

•After the 15-minute grace period, a $0.60 per minute charge will apply until the trip starts

•Waiting time charges are paid directly to the driver


Airport Pickup Policy

Recommended Scheduling:

•We recommend scheduling your ride 45 minutes after your expected arrival time to allow for deplaning and bag collection

•This helps avoid extra waiting time costs

Flight Monitoring:

•Our drivers monitor flights and communicate from the moment your flight arrives

•Pickup location coordination is handled directly with your assigned driver

•If your flight arrives early, you can contact your driver to start the ride sooner


Flight Delays and Diversions Policy

Flight Delays:

•If your flight is delayed or diverted to an alternative airport, please contact us as soon as possible

•We will coordinate with your driver or arrange alternative transportation

•Waiting time fees may apply for extended delays

Delay Extensions:

•For delays that you notify us of in advance, we may offer a 30-minute extension at no additional cost

•Extensions are subject to driver availability and won't affect other scheduled rides

Alternative Arrangements:

•For significant delays or diversions, we may arrange alternative transportation through third-party providers

•Full fare payment ensures we can cover these alternative arrangements


Special Service Policies


Special Events and Concerts Policy

Vehicle Capacity and Safety:

•We adhere to vehicle capacity limits and all applicable state laws

•All passengers must wear seatbelts as required by law

Event Logistics:

•Drop-off and pick-up follow event-designated areas

•Multiple pick-up/drop-off points are available upon reservation at additional cost

•Event-specific coordination is handled by Schedule A Ride


Extra Stops Policy

Additional Stops:

•You may add stops to your trip at a fixed price of $15 per stop

•Stops must not deviate more than 5 miles from the original route

•Please plan and book these stops in advance when scheduling your ride

•Unplanned stops must be negotiated directly with the driver and paid separately


Holiday Surcharge

Holiday Premium: A 20% holiday surcharge will be applied to all trips occurring on federal holidays:

•New Year's Eve/Day: December 31st (Eve), January 1st (Day)

•Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Third Monday of January

•Presidents' Day: Third Monday of February

•Memorial Day: Last Monday of May

•Independence Day (Fourth of July): July 4th

•Labor Day: First Monday of September

•Columbus Day: Second Monday of October

•Veterans Day: November 11th

•Thanksgiving Eve/Day: Fourth Wednesday (Eve) and Thursday (Day) of November

•Christmas Eve/Day: December 24th (Eve), December 25th (Day)


Note: This surcharge will not apply if a promotional rate is published or advertised.


Service Standards and Accessibility


Accessibility and Disability Services

ADA Compliance: Schedule A Ride and our drivers cannot deny services to persons with disabilities. We are committed to providing equal access to transportation services in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable state laws.Service Animals: Service animals are welcome on all transportation services at no additional charge. Please notify us during booking if traveling with a service animal to ensure appropriate vehicle assignment.


Accessibility Accommodations: We work to accommodate customers with disabilities and will make reasonable efforts to provide accessible vehicles when requested in advance.


Non-Discrimination Policy

Schedule A Ride seeks to provide safe, reliable, and high-quality transportation services to everyone. Schedule A Ride and our drivers prohibit discrimination based on race, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, sex, marital status, gender identity, age, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law.

Such discrimination includes, but is not limited to, any driver refusing to provide services based on any of these characteristics. Any driver found to have violated this prohibition will be removed from our platform.

Whistleblower Protection: Schedule A Ride prohibits retaliation against customers, drivers, or employees who report discrimination, safety violations, or other legal concerns. Reports can be made confidentially through our customer service line or privacy email.


Driver and Vehicle Standards

Professional Standards:

•All drivers maintain appropriate licensing and insurance

•Drivers maintain professional appearance and conduct

•All vehicles are properly licensed, registered, and insured

•Regular safety inspections and maintenance are performed

•Vehicles are clean, comfortable, and equipped with GPS tracking

Service Commitment:

•We strive to provide reliable, safe, and professional transportation

•Specific driver requests cannot be guaranteed due to operational needs

•All drivers in our network meet our qualification standards

Primary Service Areas:

•New York State (including all five boroughs of New York City)

•New Jersey

•Connecticut

•Washington DC metropolitan area

•Extended service areas by special arrangement

Service Type:

•We provide pre-arranged transportation only

•All services must be booked in advance

•We do not provide on-demand ride services


Communication Consent

By using our services, you consent to receive communications from us regarding:

•Service confirmations and updates

•Driver assignment and contact information

•Payment and billing information

•Safety and security notifications

You also consent to us sharing your contact information with assigned drivers for service coordination.


Quality Assurance and Customer Protection


Service Guarantee

Platform Responsibility: Schedule A Ride takes full responsibility for service delivery, including:

•Ensuring driver availability and reliability

•Managing cancellations and rescheduling

•Providing customer support throughout your journey

•Arranging alternative transportation when necessary

Customer Support: Our customer service team is available to assist with any issues before, during, or after your trip.


Safety and Security

Driver Screening: All drivers undergo background checks and maintain current licensing and insurance.

Vehicle Safety: All vehicles in our network meet safety and maintenance standards.

TrustedSite Certification: Our website is certified by TrustedSite as a verified business with certified security, providing additional protection for online transactions.
